Research Laboratory Supervisor
After seven years in manufacturing, Gayle Carroll began her career at the University in the GMP cleanroom for her knowledge of quality control and auditing skills and applied them to the manufacture of experimental cell therapies. Gayle took the cleanroom’s stringent procedure and documentation policies over to the MCRU Specimen Processing Lab to create a more robust and streamlined workflow. The more efficient workflow led to the implementation of the Corrective And Preventative Action (CAPA) program for Michigan Clinical Research Unit (MCRU). Now as a Clinical Research Laboratory Supervisor, she maintains the CAPA program while servicing over 70K specimens per year for over 200 active protocols.
