Novel Methodologies
The goal of the Novel Methodologies Program is to dramatically accelerate the pace of translation from the laboratory bench to the patient bedside. The activities of program are targeted to increase and invest in collaborations between basic and clinical investigators, provide investigators with access to enabling expertise and technologies, and implement novel training strategies.
Services
MICHR services that may help investigators interested in novel methodologies include:
- Consultation on research proposals and protocols are coordinated through the Research Development Core.
- Regulatory Services include both IND/IDE preparation and cGMP documentation
- Commercialization assistance through the Medical Innovations Center
Funding:
- Funding opportunities for bench to bedside research is available through the CTSA Pilot Grant Program.
Training:
- Masters' programs, including a concentration in Drug Development
- Postdoctoral opportunities in translational research designed to prepare individuals with a PhD in a biomedical scientific or social science discipline for independent careers in translational research.
- Medical Innovations Fellowships
