Steven Chinn, MD

Steven B. Chinn is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems. He earned his medical degree at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine in 2008 and then went on to surgical residency training in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery and an enfolded research fellowship in head and neck oncology at the University of Michigan finished in 2014. He then completed an integrated clinical fellowship in head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 2016. He was recruited back to the University of Michigan in 2016 as a surgeon-scientist with a research focus on molecular epidemiology of head and neck cancer, concentrating on integrated analysis of somatic and germline mutations in low-risk and high-risk head and neck cancer patients.
