MICHR Reps Push for Funding Support in Capitol Hill Advocacy Day

As part of the recent Association for Clinical and Translation Science (ACTS) Conference in Washington DC, in partnership with the Coalition for Clinical and Translational Science, two representatives from MICHR participated in Capitol Hill Advocacy Day. Tricia Piechowski is Administrative Program Director for Community Engagement and Chad Frasier is a PTSP scholar.

Though Congress was in recess, Tricia and Chad were able to meet with staffers from the offices of Representative Tim Walberg (R-MI-7) and Representative Debbie Dingell (D-MI-12). They advocated for continued support of NIH funding for FY 2017 and FY 2018, appropriations for CTSA funding, and the restoration of funding for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
