What is this service?
It is our vision that all clinical and translational research conducted at the University of Michigan benefit from collaboration with biostatisticians throughout the life cycle of each research project. MICHR offers a wide range of pre-award and post-award biostatistical services.
If you are at the grant development stage, MICHR’s research development team can assist you with optimizing study design and selecting analytic methods appropriate for your desired outcomes. Research development consultations are free and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
For post-award analytic work, please contact the MICHR Biostatistics Program. Services include:
Randomization scheme development and implementation
Statistical analysis and data summarization
Case report form and database review and assessment
Data quality assessment
Data Safety Monitoring Plan and data reporting

These services are available to all study teams.
How much does this service cost?
Pre-award research development consultations and the initial post-award consultation with the Biostatistics Program are free of charge. Staff statisticians are available at $90/hour for short-term projects or on an FTE basis for longer-term projects, such as clinical trials.
