Team Advancement Award

What is this service?

For study teams that bring together people from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, it can be difficult to find ways to break down barriers and come together as a team. It’s all too common for team members to be siloed without forming the relationships that pave the way for deep interdisciplinary collaboration within a study.

The Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR) wants to change this picture. The Team Advancement Award seeks to provide support for study teams that want to grow in their capacity to work together, fostering happier study teams and more successful research outcomes.

This award provides funding and support for:

  • A team-building activity, such as ZingTrain or Adventure Leadership

  • Other MICHR services

Who can use this service?

Any team with an active research study may apply. We hope to accept teams from a variety of schools across the U-M campus.
