Administrative Program Director
Tricia Piechowski-Whitney, MPH, LLMSW, MA is a Clinical Research Liaison with the Community Engagement Program at MICHR and Community Based Public Health at the office of Public Health Practice (OPHP) at U-M. She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history and anthropology and a certificate in African Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as a master’s degree in African Studies from UCLA. After spending time abroad developing health materials, Tricia pursued a dual master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Public Health and Social Work and has a limited license in macro social work. Tricia works toward ensuring that investigators address key community issues and provides consultation, assistance, and monitoring to research investigators focusing on Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti, Flint, and Detroit. Her work requires her to maintain a strong working relationship with the IRB in order to provide monitoring and guidance to investigators, and she maintains the ability to match researchers with community groups and their needs.
