Improve Your Career Development Grant Application at Our K Writing Workshop

  • North Campus Research Complex (NCRC) 2800 Plymouth Road Ann Arbor, MI, 48109 United States (map)

Are you preparing a career development grant application for submission in 2020? Join the MICHR K Writing Workshop program for valuable peer critiques and feedback from senior faculty who are experienced in NIH study section thinking. This structured, three-part workshop is designed to assist early-career faculty and fellows who are preparing competitive career development grant applications (NIH K, VA CDA, and MICHR K) for 2020 submission. The parts of the career development grant that will be covered are candidate background, mentor letter, career objectives, career plan, and specific aims. During the course of the workshop, participants will exchange drafts of their proposals, so please be prepared to share your own proposal draft during the course of the workshop.

If you are writing an application for a different award and would like feedback or editing services, check out the grant writing support services that we offer.

The workshop takes place on February 12, March 4, and March 25, from 5:30–8 p.m. at the North Campus Research Complex.

Registration is required, and there is a fee of $150 for U-M registrants and $195 for others. (MICHR will refund $100 to U-M registrants who attend all three sessions.)

Our aim is to provide an outstanding experience for all attendees. If you require reasonable accommodations in order to attend, please find additional information on the registration page about how to request these.
