The MICHR Postdoctoral T32 is a campus wide, multidisciplinary career development training program in translational science supported by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS). Translational science is focused on understanding a scientific or operational principle that underlies a step of the translational process, with the goal of developing generalizable principles to accelerate translational research. We encourage applications include work that addresses a common cause of inefficiency or failure in research projects at any stage of translation, with the goal of producing new foundational knowledge.
The award provides 2 years of protected research time and support, multidisciplinary mentorship, and competency-based career development for individuals with a doctoral degree in any of the following areas: biomedical/health, social, and behavioral sciences; biostatistics, bioinformatics and data science; engineering; nursing; occupational therapy; pharmacy; physical therapy; public health/epidemiology; and social work.
Eligibility:
Individuals at the rank of Postdoctoral Research Fellow, within 3 years of their appointment, at the U-M (Ann Arbor, Flint, or Dearborn campuses) or at a U-M partner or affiliated institution (e.g., Michigan State University) are eligible to apply.
